Under direction of the Committee, the Events Coordinator is responsible for ensuring all day-to-day detailed requirements for the event are met to ensure the smooth operational running of the event.
Duties & Skills:
- Site preparation.
- Organise event location.
- Provide advice/suggestions on an appropriate budget and timeline for event.
- Develop and work within the budget and timeline approved by the committee.
- Chair the Event Sub Committee of persons appointed by the general committee (including external experts) which will be responsible to the general committee for event management including:
- Sponsorship
- Catering
- Decorating
- Entertainment
- Speakers & their requirements
- Tickets & Pricing - Liaising with Venue Management
- Liaising with the communication officer for marketing purposes
- Liaise with Treasurer regarding numbers attending and financial aspects
- Source appropriate gifts for guest speakers
- Provide ongoing reports and final evaluation of each event.
