Manage and maintain our website and forums, assist the committee in providing updates, additions to the website.  Ensure that the association has a high profile in the community as a resource for support and education on PCOS.  Maintain POSAA’s website as to ensure strong membership uptake and community support.

Duties & Skills:

  • Have experience in using Joomla
  • The webmaster will need to have regular access to a computer that is able to connect to the Internet.
  • Duties of the Webmaster are as follows:
    - Maintain and update POSAA website.
    - Ensure the annual hosting fees are paid, liase with POSAA Treasurer.
    - Ensure the bi-annual domain name registration fees are paid for website.
    - Check webmaster email address regularly.
    - Respond to email queries, or forward the query to someone who can respond.
    - Keep records with the Secretary about the user IDs and passwords used for: modifying the website, email accounts, the domain name registration master account
  • You will want to manage our overall online strategy.
  • You will have overall responsibility our website, including writing and editing content, including podcasts and vodcasts, analysing traffic, being a content ‘gatekeeper’, ongoing monitoring and improving the website structure.
  • Enforce quality/brand control standards, as well as message consistency with POSAA’s strategy.
  • Assist in the development of interactive resources to complement web content.
  • Ensure photos and images used on the website comply with our rules, Australia’s photo and copyright policies.
  • Seek new and interesting opportunities to promote the website to local audiences and to raise the online presence of the organisation, including through health networks, articles in online magazines, links to other websites, online advertising, and featured profiles on other websites and corporate intranets.
